The Indian hill Volleyball Club (IHVBC) plays on Wednesday evenings at the
Great Lakes Center in Aurora - see directions below. There are 6 teams per league and
currently there is 4 league levels - A league (very competitive), B league (competitive),
C league, and D League. The fall sessions usually starts on the second
Wednesday of September but depends on the availability of GLC and goes for 15 weeks. The Winter/Spring session starts
on the second Wednesday of January and goes for 15 weeks. The leagues usually don't play
on Thanksgiving, Halloween (if it falls on a Wednesday), Christmas and New Year's weeks. Each 15 week session is divided
into three 5 week sessions. After each 5 week session the top team of the lower league
moves up to the higher league level and the bottom team of the higher league moves
down to the lower league. New teams entering IHVBC typically start in the lowest league
and work their way up to their league level but exceptions are made based on the needs of the leagues. See club rules for more detailed
explanations and rules.
Menu Items:
The links to the league schedules are on the menu on the left and are posted
promptly every 5 weeks. The league standings are posted weekly as soon as the score
sheets are made available. There is a list of the league captains and contact information
with links to their email. The next, season information will have starting dates for
the next season and any information that may be needed. The subs list contains a list
of available players and their ability level along with their contact information. It
is kept current so please use it. The legal team link explains what are the legal team
configurations - since this is a co-ed league there are some restrictions. Please peruse
this link if you have any questions about your team configuration. Every member of IHVBC needs
to have on file a signed release form whether they are regular or substitute members. The release
form is good from September to September. So every September start, a release form needs to be
signed and handed into Club Chairperson. No release form is needed in January. The direction
link displays the directions to Great lakes Center and there is a link to a map of the facility.
